The Cloncurry Youth Support Service (YSS) is proposed to be recommissioned for a one year period following the cessation of the current contract with Police Citizen’s Youth Club (PCYC). A limited tender will be offered to three Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community-Controlled Organisations (ATSICCOs), in response to strong community demand for a culturally appropriate youth service. Funding allocated for the Cloncurry YSS of $96,272 (excl GST) per annum is significantly below the amount required to fund a single Full Time Equivalent worker, which is approximately $140,000 excluding GST) per annum. The total cost of this proposal is $154,000 including GST ($140,000 excluding GST), to be funded from Families unallocated funds and available Budget in 2025-26 and 2026-27. The enhanced funding of $43,728 (excluding GST) will be funded from prior relinquished unallocated budget under Families Funding Area
