QLD2032 isn’t just a two-week event in the capitalβ€”it’s a decade-long, state-wide legacy program reshaping infrastructure, housing and industry across regional Queensland.

A Decade of Opportunity

While Brisbane is the host city, direct investment and project activity are concentrated across seven key regional hubs: Cairns, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Logan, Moreton Bay, the Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast. The opportunities are confirmed, the funding is allocatedβ€”the time to prepare is now.

πŸš€ Delivery Partner Appointed β€” December 17, 2025

The Queensland Government has officially appointed the Unite32 consortium (led by Laing O’Rourke and AECOM) to manage the design and construction of all 17 new and upgraded venues across regional Queensland.

Approximately 60 Unite32 personnel will begin working in the GIICA office starting January 2026 to fast-track regional project delivery.

Unite32 has a specific mandate to integrate local knowledge and scale at paceβ€”directly supporting the 125km Local Benefits Test weighting for regional contractors.

This appointment signals the move from planning to procurement. Regional suppliers can expect tenders through QTenders as Unite32 mobilises.
