About Wreck Bay Dive Site

Wreck Bay is located on the eastern side of Agincourt Reef No.3, off Port Douglas, and is a site that can only be dived when conditions are calm! The remains of an old fishing boat gave this site its name, but with little of the wreck to see divers will have more fun exploring the caves, gutters, ledges and bommies at this fascinating dive site. The hard corals in Wreck Bay are just beautiful, but divers will also see soft corals, sea whips and gorgonians. A family of clown anemonefish are one of the sites star attractions, but divers will also see turtles, reef sharks, sweetlips, gropers and trevally. Don’t forget to closely inspect the ledges and caves that riddle the reef, as you may find crayfish, moray eels or a large tawny nurse shark. Depths in Wreck Bay vary from 10 metres to 25 metres.
