About Watercress Creek Olives and Limes
The Ipswich community is fortunate to offer Bernie Mahon from Watercress Creek Olives and Limes to the wider community. Larger than life, Bernie is as local as it comes, with his family owning the farmland for generations. The working farm offers visitors a multitude of experiences together with an assortment of fresh local produce and farm-made delicacies. Whilst previously, the farm produce was available only via Bernie’s continual monthly market stalls, the farm now offers a farm-gate shop where visitors can browse shelves lined with infused oils, vinegars, tapenades, and jams – all made on-site next to the olive grove and lime orchard. Specialties include a ‘bruschetta spread’ and whole figs preserved in a rich balsamic syrup. The figs are grown on-site and go into a sweet, luscious jam. The farm is also proud to offer picnic-goers a destination to be remembered amongst the country surrounds and shaded groves. The selection of picnic platters, Devonshire tea, and group bookings are available for your perusal via the website and are available for pre-purchase ordering. The farm also offers group tours. Annual open days, festivals, music events and group/birthdays are other regular events offered and hosted by the farm. For more details, please see the website or Facebook page for current and upcoming events. Bernie and staff welcome you to enjoy their piece of serenity.
