About Vinoversity
Vinoversity brings Granite Belt wines and spirits to life through intimate, expert-led masterclasses in the cool-climate vineyards of Ballandean, led by winemaker and distiller Andrew Scott. Real wine and spirits edutainment, for anyone who wants to understand what is in the glass, not just drink it. Mastery, not mystery. The flagship Granite Belt Wine Masterclass runs two hours. You walk the vines with a glass of something sparkling in hand, then taste seven wines from right around the region, including the Strange Bird varieties this high, cool country does best, among them Tempranillo, Albarino and Saperavi. Rather than a head full of facts, you learn the Vinometer: one clear, repeatable way to read any wine you meet. Curated nibbles are served alongside, and you go home with your own Riedel glass and a tasting journal to keep. Vinoversity is based in the heart of the Granite Belt, Queensland's highest and coolest wine region, a place quietly rewriting what Australian wine and spirits can be. While the classroom is rooted here among the vines, it also travels: a masterclass can come to your venue further afield. Intimate groups, seriously good fun, and expertise you keep for life.
