About The Watering Hole Art Trail
The Watering Hole Art Trail consists of The Rogues Gallery, The Scar Trees and The Sculpture Trail. The Rogues Gallery features portraits of locals painted by Silo artists Drapl (Travis Vinson) and The Zookeeper (Joel Fergie) as a gift to the Thallon Community. These incredible artists regularly return to our town and add to the gallery. These portraits can be found painted under the old railway bridge, across the Moonie River, to the west of the township. When visiting the Rogues Gallery, keep an eye out for the Gamilaraay Scar Trees, a precious link to the areas Indigenous past. A series of beautiful metal sculptures can be found interspersed around the town, reflecting many aspects of Thallon's pioneering history. Some have been placed as close to their original sites as possible.
The Watering Hole Art Trail appears in the QLD2032 tourism layer, part of the Thallon QLD 4497 visitor economy. Explore nearby property intelligence via LotScan or locally-registered trades in the contractor directory.
