About The Station Store
Step inside the wondrous world of The Station Store. The Station Store is based on the original outback emporiums that stocked everything and were a highlight for station folk coming into town for shopping. The historic building, which dates back to the 1920s, is stocked full of outback clothing, hats, gifts, homewares, local crafts and souvenirs. The Outback Pioneers Cobb & Co experience leaves from behind The Station Store and their booking office is next door in the Welcome Home. Memorabilia: Wander through the store, out to the courtyard at the back and you'll spy their collection of all sorts of outback memorabilia including an extensive collection of old domestic irons. Even in the early pioneer times, living in the outback meant dressing up to go to town, to church or visiting another station and an iron was essential to get the edge.
