About The Rising Sun Hotel
The Rising Sun Hotel is a charming two-story timber pub in the heart of Rosewood frequented by friendly locals and curious travellers. The current building as it stands today was built in 1909 and still retains its unusual corner roof turret, Cobb & Co. lookout, and wrap-around verandah. The hotel recently underwent a major refresh of the original 1909 building but still retains an authentic country pub experience. There's an outdoor beer garden area on the lawn, a bar and restaurant inside with a gaming room, TAB and Keno and even boasts a drive-thru bottle shop. On the menu you'll find hearty meals, there's a mixture of classics like lamb shanks, crumbed steak and pork cutlets and modern options including honey-glazed baked camembert, steak parmy, and a roast pumpkin and halloumi salad. There's also a great range of burgers on the menu, a kid's section with four options and light lunch options at a great value price point. Look out for weekly specials, including their popular parmy deal. The hotel is located across from the train station and opens seven days a week with meals being served for lunch and dinner. Takeaway orders are also an option.
