About The Aquarium
The Aquarium is just as the name suggests and is the perfect place to see the Great Barrier Reef in its full glory. It's a shallow lagoon wall dive with a depth of up to 10 metres. The Aquarium is located within the calm, turquoise waters of the lagoon. Diving in the lagoon is perfect for non-certified beginners with no experience, or certified divers looking for a leisurely dive during the day or night. Dive straight in from Lady Musgrave HQ's dive platform! You can visit the turtle cleaning stations which are coral bommies where resident green turtles, loggerhead turtles and hawksbill turtles rest to get their shells cleaned by fish. This makes for a great photo opportunity and a chance to swim with turtles! The Aquarium has a sandy bottom with large scattered bommies and acts as a nursery inside a nursery, providing shelter for numerous juvenile reef fish. There's plenty of small, colourful fish such as blue and green chromis, damsel fish, moorish idols, parrotfish and butterfly fish. You might also spot whitetip reef sharks, giant clams and blue linckia starfish!
