Sweetwater consists of two luxury, private, and spacious self-contained retreats set on160 acres surrounded by a beautiful mountain range just one and a quarter hours north of Cairns International Airport or 25 minutes from Port Douglas. The beautifully presented, architect designed, self contained holiday retreats each accommodate two people in a luxurious king bed. The retreats are finished to a very high degree of comfort with absolute attention to detail. Unique features of the accommodation include a well equipped al fresco kitchen situated on the veranda overlooking the mountains and an indoor/outdoor shower. Sweetwater Lodge is an outstanding Bird-watching property and is fast becoming renowned as the best provider of bird-watching accommodation in the area. The property boasts a range of habitats including a beautiful private rainforest walk, a permanent freshwater creek offering numerous swimming holes, which meanders through the property, wallabies, platypus and other marsupials together with an abundance of birdlife.
