About St George Harmony Centre
St George Harmony Centre seeks to preserve and promote Indigenous culture of the local peoples within the South West Queensland region through artwork, exhibitions, events and language. Located in St George along the Balonne River, the centre officially opened on September 18th 2024 and is managed by the South West Indigenous Corporation, with board members who are local to the community, representing the eight language groups within the Balonne Shire. St George Harmony Centre hosts artworks by community members, including First Nations artists and local school children. Visitors to the centre will be immersed in local culture.
