About Spirit House Restaurant and Cooking School
Gourmet Traveller Magazine described the Spirit House as 'a tropical film set that takes your breath away. Like the setting, the Thai inspired cuisine is breathtaking.' Clustered around a tranquil pond, the restaurant setting is magical. A temple style main building with covered courtyard tables all nestled amongst lush tropical gardens with towering palms and stands of bamboo. The Hong Sa Bar offers a more exclusive Spirit House experience with a Balinese style courtyard used for lounging and liaising. Adjoining the courtyard is the Private Dining Room, with its dedicated chef, kitchen, and bar, it's perfect for small weddings, cocktail parties or corporate functions. At night, Spirit House turns into a magical wonderland as flares, candles, and fairy-lights reflect in the water and line the paths of the gardens. Spirit House chefs conduct daily classes every week in the purpose built, 'hands-on' cooking school. These classes demystify Asian ingredients and cooking methods and are a great day out with a group of friends. Classes are limited to a maximum of 16 people. A visit to the Spirit House is a treat for all your senses, sight, sound, scent and of course, taste.
