About Roma Street Parkland
Open seven days a week located in the heart of Brisbane city, Roma Street Parkland is an oasis of designer gardens and sprawling lawns that wind around 16 hectares of stunning parkland. Well known by garden and plant enthusiasts for its exceptional horticultural standards, it is also a popular visitor destination, housing free barbecues, picnic spots, two playgrounds and a year-round calendar of events. The Spectacle Garden at Colin Campbell Place is seasonally planted to showcase a vivid array of colourful blooms all year round, it is free to enter, open dawn until dusk daily. The consumption of alcohol is permitted, provided it is with a substantial meal in two designated areas – Celebration and Lakeside Precincts, from 10am to 8pm daily. Dogs are welcome in the Parkland but must remain on a lead at all times, must not be one of Brisbane City Council's identified dangerous dog breeds and provided you clean up after them. The only space dogs are not permitted is the Spectacle Garden. Please note that this rule does not apply to assistance dogs.
