About Memories of India

As is the way for the majority of Ipswich's best-loved restaurants, Memories of India allows customers to dine in a beautiful heritage building that harks back to a bygone era. In this case, it's the old corner pub formerly known as The Ulster which has been welcoming customers through its doors since 1910. These days it's the aromas of authentic and modern Indian dishes that greet you when you arrive. Co-owners Promod Kumar and Aman sharma have extensive experience in five-star restaurants in India and have developed an approachable yet exciting Indian menu with plenty to excite families, foodies, vegetarians and gluten-free diners. You'll find a long list of naan breads, platters, onion bahjis and samosas to begin with, and mains ranging from Masala, Korma and Vindaloo curries to Palak Paneer and various Biryani rice dishes. A hit with the littlies is a fried chicken number called Chicken 65 while a modern Vodka Chicken offering is the most popular takeaway option. Watch for weekly specials of dishes not on the main a la carte menu. The restaurant offers an ever-changing selection of craft beers and wines, and has a large function room for special events and celebrations.
