About Mason's Cafe
Mason's Cafe is a unique experience right at Cape Tribulation in the Daintree Rainforest. While they do sell regular fares like burgers and fish and chips, their focus is on using produce from the farm that surrounds the Cafe. Mason's Cafe also try hard to use the product with low food miles; Daintree Tea, Misty Mountains Milk, Tichum Creek Coffee, Daintree Chai Tea from the Tea Chest, local meat from Marsh Butchers, local Crocodile from Cairns, and local fish when available. Mason's is a casual cafe where you order from the counter and can seat 60 to 80 people in a semi outdoors setting. The venue boasts large lawns and a superb freshwater swimming hole a stone's throw away. Part of their focus is the unusual; things you may not have tried before. The team use local Jakfruit not only for smoothies but cook it and Breadfruit for make vegetarian burgers (seasonal). Mason's sell Crocodile and other rare meats, depending on availability. Here you can find seasonal smoothies you won't have seen before, like Abui, Durian, Yellow Sapote, Black Sapote and Soursop and also seasonal juices like Brazil Cherry and Carambola.
