Adjacent to the Longreach Town Common, an expansive stretch of open outback country covering approximately 6,500 hectares (16,000 acres), the park enjoys sweeping western views and spectacular sunsets. Three self-guided walking loops invite guests to explore the surrounding landscape, from gidgee woodlands to views of the Thomson River, with regular wildlife sightings including red kangaroos and a variety of birdlife.
