About Lake Ellen Heritage Hub and Playground

One of the most interactive playgrounds in Bundaberg, Lake Ellen Heritage Hub is located only five minutes from the town centre. This brightly coloured playground suitable for all ages and abilities also includes a bicycle safety course where the children can practice obeying road signs and traffic directions. Lake Ellen Heritage Hub also includes a wheelchair accessible section which enables all visitors to be able to play. Facilities also include barbecues, toilets, picnic facilities and walking trails for the more energetic. The specifically designed playground equipment includes a Climbing Net, Cane Station and Train, Sugar Cane maze and Bush Kids activity zone. While the kids are playing, the adults can take in the beautiful surrounds with ducks and other birdlife splashing in the water while the smell of molasses from the nearby distilleries waft through the air.
