The tour meets at the Marree Oasis Caravan Park, South Australia for a complimentary dinner and sets out the next morning for Lake Eyre South towards William Creek stopping at various points of interest before camping at William Creek. Next, the tour sets off for Oodnadatta Roadhouse before moving on to Dalhousie Ruins and a swim in Dalhousie Springs before driving on to camp at Mount Dare. Next the tour heads for Old Andado Station to learn about Molly Clark's life in the desert. The tour may camp there or move on. After Old Andado Station, the tour sets out to Mac Clark's acacia peuce trees near the start of the Madigan Line, and then travels the Madigan Line and part of the Hay River Track, camping at various stops on the way. Next the tour heads out towards Birdsville via Eyre Creek, possibly camping en route. After visiting Eyre Creek the tour continues towards Birdsville, visiting the iconic Big Red on the way, and camps at Birdsville. From Birdsville the next morning the tour travels via the Birdsville Track and on to Mungerannie to camp. The tour travels from Mungerannie to Maree and says farewell before heading home.
