About Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary
At Cooberrie Park, you can cuddle a Koala, hold a Crocodile, Snake or Lizard, play with Birds, interact with playful Monkeys and hand feed Kangaroos! Located just just 28 minutes from Rockhampton and 15 minutes from Yeppoon Beach. During the daily animal show at 1pm, all visitors are able to hold a Snake, Lizards, Sugar Glider, Parrots and pat the Koala for photos, all included with admission! Animal encounters include Koala Holdings, Monkey Experiences, Macaw Holding, Crocodile Holding, Junior Zoo Keeper Program and VIP Reptile Experiences! Swimming pool, paddling pool and barbecue facilities are all included with admission! They receive no government funding and rely solely on admission and donations. Cooberrie Park is the only Wildlife Sanctuary in Central Queensland that takes care of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife; the animals appreciate your support.
