About Canopy Rainforest Tree Houses and Wildlife Sanctuary
Purpose designed for comfort in the wilderness, these five luxury Timber Treehouses perched high in the rainforest canopy on the banks of the flowing Ithaca River. Positioned for privacy each Treehouse has fully self-contained kitchens, king and twin beds, a double spa, electric log-effect heaters, air-conditioning and a balcony for outdoor dining and wildlife spotting. All Treehouses are totally secluded and offer a spectacular retreat for couples or families from everyday life. In a world of rapidly shrinking ecosystems this protected 100 acres of rare upland mesophyll vine forest is part of one of the largest untouched tracts of rainforest on the Cairns Highlands and offers a phenomenally high density of rare and unique wildlife. Resident Cassowaries, Lumholtz's's Tree Kangaroos and endangered Green Possums call their forest home whilst shy platypus inhabit the river. Pademelon Wallabies abound and Brushtail Possums will visit your balcony every night, whilst Northern Bandicoots and other marsupials forage on the evening forest floor. Wake to a serenade of birdsong every morning as an ever-changing parade of rainforest birds greet you on your Treehouse balcony and immerse yourself in the grandeur of pristine, old growth, high country rainforest. They are privileged to be the custodians of this rare, precious place...
