About Bell Biblical Garden and Church Murals
A spectacular garden featuring plants from the Bible has been established since 2008 on a vacant block of land beside Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. The vision was to use as many trees and plants mentioned in the Bible and to incorporate a Way of the Cross in a garden setting. It is also home to an impressive and varied collection of artworks from quirky pieces created from 'Australian' mediums like old timber, steel and barbed wire along to more traditionally styled mosaic creations. Included in the garden is a memorial to the shepherds who worked in the area when it was part of Jimbour Station. Inside the Bell Catholic Church is a series of eleven paintings portraying a pictorial history of salvation as told through the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. The original series of paintings on the side walls of the Church were completed for the Church's 95th anniversary.
